How To Maintain An Ultrasonic Plastic Welding Machine?
Mar 27, 2025
Regarding daily cleaning and inspection, the welding head, bottom mold and workpiece need to be kept clean. After each use, use a soft cloth or special tools to clean the remaining plastic debris, dust and oil to prevent impurities from affecting welding efficiency and protect the welding head. At the same time, check the cable connector at least once a week, especially the connection between the power cord and the control line, to ensure that it is firm and not loose to avoid circuit failure. In addition, the air filter needs to be cleaned every month or quarter, and it should be cleaned with clean water or a special cleaning agent and then dried to keep the inside of the equipment clean.
In terms of mechanical maintenance and lubrication, wipe the surface of the equipment with a dry soft cloth every day, and avoid using liquid cleaning to prevent damage to the control panel and screen. At the same time, avoid placing heavy objects or fluid objects above the oscillator box to prevent mechanical deformation. Regularly apply lubricating grease to sliding parts such as lifting grooves and screws to reduce friction and wear, but be careful to use the right amount to avoid excessive pollution of the equipment.
Environmental management is also an important part of maintenance. The equipment should be placed in a well-ventilated environment, and the ambient temperature should be controlled below 40°C to promote heat dissipation and extend service life. When not in use, the equipment should be covered with a dust cover or dust cloth to prevent dust and debris from entering.
There are also some operating specifications and precautions that need to be followed. After the equipment is started, wait for about 2 minutes until the system is stable before using it to avoid instantaneous current shock. If the welding head is hot, it should be stopped immediately and used after it cools down naturally. If it is repeatedly hot in a short period of time, it needs to be replaced. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure that the compressed gas is dry and clean, and regularly check whether there is oil stain inside the filter device. If there is, it needs to be cleaned.
Finally, in terms of troubleshooting and parts replacement, if abnormal noise occurs during welding, it is necessary to check whether the welding head, amplifier or transducer has cracks or loose contact, and replace or tighten it in time. For non-original molds, the frequency needs to be adjusted before use, but it is prohibited to adjust the frequency at will during continuous production.
