The Characteristics And Advantages And Disadvantages Of Ultrasonic Metal Welding Machines
Jan 23, 2024
Ultrasonic welding machines can be divided into metal ultrasonic welding machines and plastic ultrasonic welding machines, both of which have different welding methods and working methods.
Different welding methods
The welding method of ultrasonic metal welding machine is to perform single point welding, multi-point welding, and short strip welding on metal thin wires or sheet materials such as copper, silver, aluminum, nickel, etc. It is commonly used for welding metal workpieces such as controllable silicon leads, fuse pieces, electrical leads, lithium battery electrodes, and pole ears.
The welding method of ultrasonic plastic welding machine is to generate local high temperature through ultrasonic vibration waves, causing the plastic contact surface to quickly melt, and then apply a certain pressure to fuse them into one. It is commonly used for welding hot melt plastics such as polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), acrylic (PMMA), polycarbonate (PC), nylon (PA), etc.
Different working methods
The working mode of ultrasonic metal welding machine is also different from that of ultrasonic plastic welding machine. The vibration direction of the welding head is parallel to the welding position, while the vibration direction of the welding head in ultrasonic plastic welding machine is perpendicular to the welding position.
In addition, compared with ultrasonic plastic welding machines, ultrasonic metal welding machines have high requirements for power capacity, power density, welding stability, and automation control technology.
