Aluminum alloy ultrasonic welding die surface treatment
A. Hard chrome plating
It is very important to electroplate a layer of chromium metal directly on the surface of ultrasonic welding mold, because the bonding between chromium and aluminum alloy electroplating is not good. First of all, the surface of aluminum alloy must be cleaned, and then in the sand blasting machine will need to electroplate with fine sand injection, the purpose is to increase the surface area of the attached surface, in order to increase its adhesion strength.
A. The surface hardness of aluminum alloy horn after hard chromium plating can reach HRC60°, and the thickness of hard chromium layer on the surface is 0.1mm ~ 0.25mm; The hard chromium layer should not be too thick, because too thick hard chromium layer will affect the bonding degree between the electroplating layer and the flash, resulting in the electroplating is easy to fall off when the ultrasonic speaker operation vibrates.
B, aluminum alloy ultrasonic welder mold hard chromium treatment must be noted, only part of the pressing end can be electroplated, not the whole horn electroplating, otherwise it will cause speaker resonance.
C. Hard chrome-plated surface polishing can only be manually operated, so polishing should be avoided as far as possible if it is not necessary. Improper polishing will cause the loss of the original datum.
B. Anode treatment
In room temperature electroplating solution to accelerate the oxidation of aluminum alloy horn surface, produce a high hardness of alumina, hard oxygen treatment surface hardness can reach HRC60°, hardness layer only 30 ~ 50μm or so, can not be too thick, poor wear resistance. It can be treated as a whole horn, and the surface after treatment will be as uneven as the hard oxygen treatment. Therefore, the screw end of the welding head of the horn after treatment must be processed to remove the hard film, otherwise it will affect the conduction of ultrasonic wave. Anodized surfaces are available in a variety of colors, which can be used if color management is required.

C, hard anodising is also used for ac and DC anodising at low temperature. The surface of aluminum alloy horn was oxidized in low temperature electroplating solution to produce a high hardness ceramic oxide film. The surface hardness of hard Yang treatment can reach nearly HRC60° and the hardness layer is up to 0.3mm. The hard film layer is well coated and not easy to fall off. The disadvantage is that the hard film surface will be uneven and easy to fall off if thickened. The hard anodic treatment should also be noted that only part of the hard anodic treatment can be done at the pressing end, not the whole horn treatment, otherwise it will cause the horn resonance.
D, nickel plating treatment in aluminum alloy horn pressing surface first a layer of copper and then nickel plating, single nickel plating hardness is low, horn wear resistance strength is not enough, can be added chromium metal to increase hardness, this kind of treatment technology layer is higher. Nickel plating treatment should also be noted that only part of the pressing end can be processed, not the whole speaker, otherwise it will cause speaker resonance.
