The Effect Of Ultrasonic Welding Machine Energy On Dissimilar Joints?
May 20, 2022
Ultrasonic welding machine is an ultrasonic plastic welder equipment that generates high-frequency vibration through ultrasonic wave and increases the temperature of workpiece, so as to realize workpiece fusion. Because it does not generate current in the welding process and can ensure the solid state of metal materials, it is not only used for the welding of ordinary metals, but also for the welding of many different metals. The welding head of ultrasonic welding machine used for dissimilar welding will be different, and the influence of welding energy on the welding head is also different.
When the dissimilar joints of ultrasonic welder machine start welding, the mechanical properties of the joints will change with the time
It increases with the increase of welding energy. When the welding energy reaches 700J, the mechanical properties of the joint appear a large value. Then, when the welding capacity is further increased, the mechanical properties of the joint show a downward trend. According to the research of ultrasonic plastic welding machine experts, it is found that the fracture of the joint is very different under different welding energy, including interface fracture, button fracture and mixed fracture. With the increase of energy, the interface temperature and plastic deformation of the solder joint of ultrasonic welding machine increase, and the effective connection area between materials increases, resulting in the increase of the effective connection strength of the solder joint. When the energy is further increased to 800J, the mechanical properties of the joint decrease, making the joint fall into the workpiece and fracture occurs, showing the mixed form of interface fracture and partial tear.
It can be seen that the higher the welding energy of the ultrasonic welding equipment is, the better. The appropriate welding energy should be selected according to the performance of the welding joint. The mechanical properties of a joint are also affected by the amplitude of the equipment and the welding time. Professional masters usually set ultrasonic welding according to previous experience to make the performance of the joint better. Usually, after setting the parameters of the ultrasonic welding machine, the operator will weld one or two workpieces to check the effect, and then carry out mass welding after passing the test.
