Ultrasonic Welding: A Key Fusion Technology in Medical Mask Production
Feb 04, 2026
Ultrasonic Mask Machine Welding Principle:
Using ultrasonic technology, ultrasonic energy is transmitted to the welding area through the upper welding part. Due to the high acoustic impedance at the welding area, which is the interface between the two welded parts, localized high temperatures are generated. Because materials such as plastic, nylon, chemical fibers, non-woven fabrics, multi-layer fabrics, and metallic fabrics have poor thermal conductivity, the heat cannot dissipate in time and accumulates in the welding area, causing the two contact surfaces to melt rapidly. With the application of a certain pressure, they fuse into one. After the ultrasonic wave stops, the pressure is maintained for a short period to allow solidification and shaping, forming a strong molecular chain and achieving the welding purpose. The welding strength can be close to the strength of the raw material itself, which is the main reason why many manufacturers use ultrasonic welding for mask production.
Welding Features:
1. Adopts a straight-handle or pistol-grip design for convenient operation.
2. The welding effect is controlled manually, making operation easy and eliminating the need for cylinder pressure.
3. Uses a piezoelectric ceramic transducer for stable and powerful output.
4. Employs an automatic compensation circuit, allowing for free power adjustment to achieve consistent spot welding results.
