The second reason is that the materials of the ultrasonic parts are different. In the ultrasonic welding, the same material is used as much as possible for the two ultrasonic parts.
Like PA, it can only be connected to the PA ultrasonically. POM can only be sonicated with POM. Using different materials to ultrasonic each other, and more serious, there will be no welding phenomenon at all. Relatively speaking, semi-crystalline plastics are more prone to not easy to be ultrasonically or poorly ultrasonic.
If we say that due to product demand, we must use two different materials for ultrasonic welding, it is recommended that the ultrasonic structure be made into a mechanical interlocking type;
Poor cause three: Ultrasonic parts are too humid or the parts are mixed with glass fiber or other flame retardants and other chemical components
Applications
(1) Combination welding of soft pack batteries
Ultrasonic metal welding uses high-frequency vibration waves to be transmitted to the metal surface to be welded. Under pressure, the two metal surfaces are rubbed against each other to form a fusion between molecular layers. The tabs of multiple batteries can be directly welded together without adding other materials, so as to reduce cost with a high welding efficiency. However, it is inconvenient to maintain the battery pack, and it is difficult to use a single cell in cascade.
(2) Combination welding of square cells
Bonding welding not only can weld aluminum wires, but also aluminum strips, etc., using it to replace the current square battery connecting plate, the battery core can be used in cascades, and the cost is effectively reduced, and the single production efficiency is relatively low.
