The specific processing method of ultrasonic cutting
(1) The amplitude of the ultrasonic vibration generated by the ultrasonic cutting spindle is 30-50 μm, vibrating along the axis of the cutting spindle, and the cutting power is several hundred watts. In addition to the five motion axes (X, Y, Z, A, C) of the conventional high-speed milling machine, the ultrasonic cutting machine is also equipped with a sixth CNC axis, which is used to adjust the spatial orientation of the ultrasonic tool. For example, when cutting a circular workpiece, the orientation of the cutting edge is always in the tangential direction of the circular workpiece.
(2) When cutting honeycomb materials, there are two kinds of knives used in ultrasonic cutting: one is a straight-edged knife used to dig out excess blank material, which makes a V-shaped movement in the vertical direction to cut a large piece of blank material. And cut out the profile of the workpiece on the blank. The other is a disc cutter, which is used to deal with the sawtooth marks left on the surface of the workpiece after cutting by a straight-edged knife, and finally trim the surface of the workpiece into a desired plane or curved surface according to the process requirements.
(3) Cutting fiber materials is much simpler than cutting honeycomb materials. It only needs to use a straight-edged cutter to cut within the two-dimensional range of the material surface to obtain the desired workpiece shape.
