Ultrasonic metal spot welding machine - What is the material of the welding head？

Different tool heads are required for different welding objects. Whether it is near-field welding or transmission welding, only half wavelength tool heads can make the welding end face reach the maximum amplitude. There are two kinds of tool heads, one with amplitude amplification and the other without amplitude amplification. The acoustic system tool head for ultrasonic plastic welding machine is usually made of aluminum alloy, and its end face is plated with hard alloy. When the power is high, it is also made of titanium alloy, which has a fatigue strength more than twice that of aluminum alloy.

Current ultrasonic mold material:

1、 Titanium alloy (7075, 2024, 6061-T651): 7075: generally used in vibration system and horn manufacturing, with high hardness, strong thermal conductivity and good toughness. 2024: generally used in horn manufacturing, with good toughness, strong thermal conductivity and moderate hardness. It is used for general welding plastic products. 6061: horn is generally used for bottom mold manufacturing or lower output, with good toughness and hardness ratio of 2024.

2、 Scm8: it is generally used for embedding screws and metal inserts. It has excellent toughness, high hardness and thermal conductivity, which is second to 2024.

3、 Titanium alloy: generally used for continuous vibration generation, with high toughness, good heat conduction, high hardness and high cost.

At present, the material of the bottom mold fixture: 1. Aluminum alloy, aluminum titanium alloy: generally used for metal or plastic products.

2、 45C medium carbon steel: suitable for PVC box, bubble shell and other tooth forming tools and other hard metal or non-metal, such as plastic steel, PBT, etc.

3、 SS41 iron material: suitable for general metal products or hard non-metal products.

4、 Epoxy resin: suitable for irregular plastic products.

5、 Put resin: suitable for plastic products with heavy appearance, small output and short welding time.

6、 Bakelite: it is suitable for general plane welding plastic products or ultrasonic vibration plate fixture.
