What causes malfunctions in ultrasonic screening system transducers?
Sep 03, 2026
1. Transducer operates, but high-frequency screen vibration is weak and amplitude is insufficient, resulting in poor anti-clogging performance.
Causes:
Loose screws at the contact interface between the transducer and the resonance ring.
Dust or oil accumulation at the interface hindering energy transmission.
Aging of piezoelectric ceramics or power attenuation.
Insufficient screen tension.
Solutions: Disconnect power and tighten bolts; clean both metal contact surfaces; replace aged transducers; re-tension the screen.
2. Internal transducer damage.
Symptoms: Abnormal noise when shaking the transducer; the generator triggers an alarm immediately upon startup.
Causes: Piezoelectric ceramic fracture; transducer debonding; short circuit due to moisture or water ingress.
Solutions: Do not attempt disassembly or repair; replace with a transducer of the same frequency; ensure dust and moisture protection-prevent dust from entering the transducer cavity.
3. Transducer overheating.
Causes: Impedance mismatch; prolonged overload; arcing due to poor contact at the interface.
Solutions: Shut down to cool; check tightening torque; recalibrate generator resonance parameters.
