Ultrasonic Metal Welding Equipment
Ultrasonic metal welding equipment has special requirements for metal materials: metal materials must have certain ductility and purity. Nonferrous metals are the most ideal materials for ultrasonic welding, such as gold, silver, copper, aluminum and nickel.
Ultrasonic metal welding equipment characteristics:
1>The welding temperature is less than the melting point of the material (reduce the influence of heat on the material)
2>No filling material required
3>Conductivity is much better than fusion welding and brazing
4>It can clean the oxide layer or oil stain on the welding surface
5>No harm to health
6>Welding quality can be controlled
7>No current flows through the workpiece during welding
8>Low energy consumption (only 1/10 of resistance welding)

Three ways of Ultrasonic Metal Welding Equipment
According to the characteristics of the technological process, metal welding can be divided into three categories: fusion welding, pressure welding and brazing.
1.1 fusion welding
Heat the workpiece to be joined to make it locally melt to form a molten pool. After the molten pool is cooled and solidified, it will be joined. If necessary, it can be assisted by molten filler. It is suitable for the welding processing of various metals and alloys without pressure. The contact surface of welding seam is liquid and liquid.
1.2 pressure welding
It is a welding method that applies a certain pressure to the combined weldment in the heated or unheated state to make it produce plastic deformation or melting, and through recrystallization and diffusion, the atoms on the two separated surfaces form a metal bond to connect. The contact surface of welding seam is solid and solid.
1.3 brazing welding
The metal material with lower melting point than the base metal is used as the filler metal, the liquid filler metal is used to wet the base metal, the filler metal is sucked into the gap of the contact surface of the joint by capillary action, and the joint weldment is realized by mutual diffusion with the base metal. The contact surface of welding seam is liquid and solid.
In ultrasonic metal welding equipment processing, the oxide film on the metal surface is removed by applying ultrasonic vibration to the workpiece, so that the impurities on the surface are dispersed, and the solid-phase bonding state is formed by the gravity between metal atoms. Since welding is carried out at a temperature of about 1/3 of the melting point, the thermal effect on the workpiece is very small. During the welding process, the contact surface of the weld is solid and solid, so it belongs to pressure welding.
