Ultrasonic Riviting Plastic Spot Welder

Jiayuanda handheld ultrasonic welding machine W10/W10S is also called the handheld ultrasonic spot welding machine. It consists of an ultrasonic generator, a shell (direct grip type), an ultrasonic transducer and an ultrasonic welding joint. It is a movable ultrasonic manual welding equipment that can be easily used by tightening the mold. W10 is driven by a digital circuit ultrasonic generator, which is simple to operate and can automatically track the optimal resonant frequency to ensure that the ultrasonic generator, transducer and welding joint are in the best working condition. It has multiple abnormal protection functions such as over-current alarm, load over-voltage, over temperature, load error, frequency error, over power consumption, welding joint, transducer, etc., ensuring safety....

Product Description:

Ultrasonic riviting plastic spot welder, also known as ultrasonic spot welder, is used for welding thermoplastic materials. The structure of ultrasonic spot welding machine mainly includes ultrasonic welding generator, ultrasonic welding head, ultrasonic oscillator, ultrasonic amplitude transformer, etc.  Interchangeable sonotrodes (horns) can be fitted for different welding processes, including riveting, spot welding, insertion, and cutting. Compared to traditional methods such as adhesive bonding, thermal fusing, or screw fastening, ultrasonic welding offers significant advantages including high production efficiency, excellent weld quality, and environmental friendliness with low energy consumption. The handheld ultrasonic welder allows quick and convenient changeover of the ultrasonic horn, accommodating different rivet sizes and welding requirements of the products to be welded.

FAQ

Can ultrasonic riviting plastic spot welder weld different types of plastics (such as ABS and PC)?
Yes, ABS and PC can indeed be ultrasonically welded; this process is already widely used in industries such as automotive interiors and consumer electronics. When joining ABS and PC, the riveting process is often more reliable than butt welding. However, to ensure weld quality, we recommend providing actual samples for free testing-this is the most reliable approach. We can customize specific welding horns based on your product design and optimize the welding parameters. We would be happy to conduct sample tests so you can see the results firsthand.

Is it complicated to operate? Does it require specialized training?
It is not complicated, and no specialized training is required. The ultrasonic riviting plastic spot welder is designed for immediate use. New operators can usually work independently within 15 minutes. The process involves: aligning, applying light pressure, pressing the switch, and releasing to allow for cooling-completing a single weld in 2–3 seconds. The welder features automatic frequency tuning, eliminating the need for manual adjustments. If you wish, we can send you an operation video or arrange a video call to demonstrate the entire process live, from powering on the unit to completing a weld.

Can the welding horn be changed? How is it done?

Yes, it can be changed. Ultrasonic riviting plastic spot welder achieves various processes-such as spot welding, riveting, insert embedding, and cutting-by using welding horns of different shapes. Different products, rivet sizes, and welding requirements call for specific welding tips. For instance, a round convex horn is suitable for creating round rivet points and achieving deeper welds, while a cross-hatched horn is ideal for applications requiring increased friction. Custom-shaped horn can be tailored to your product's rivet dimensions; simply by swapping the horn, the same unit can handle a wide range of products and processes.

Changing the welding horn is simple and involves just three steps:

Step 1: Secure the transducer body with a wrench to prevent it from twisting.

Step 2: Use a second wrench to unscrew the welding horn (turn counter-clockwise).

Step 3: Remove the old horn, install the new one, and tighten it securely. Ensure it is fully tightened to prevent loosening caused by high-frequency vibrations.

After changing the horn, perform a test run:

1. Press the start switch and listen for a steady, uniform "buzzing" sound from the horn-this indicates the frequency is correctly matched.

2. Perform a test weld on scrap material to confirm the welding quality meets requirements.
