Ultrasonic plastic welding technology

Ultrasonic is suitable for welding ABS, acrylic acid, polycarbonate, nylon, cellulose acetate, etc. There are some problems with welding polyethylene and polypropylene, which usually require very high energy levels. Whatever the material, it must be dry because the presence of moisture will weaken the joint. Ultrasonic welding speed is very fast (typical welding time from 015 to 115s), easy to realize automation, very suitable for mass production. The application of ultrasonic welding in automobile industry includes: instrument panel, motor housing, bearing cage, lamp shade, glove box, lens, filter, valve, air commutator (shunt), airflow detector, etc.

Non-standard ultrasonic welding is suitable for welding large and complex workpiece, because large complex workpiece contains different directions of the welding surface, need to weld multiple positions at the same time, the standard model is not suitable for special aircraft to achieve production, such as automobile instrument panel, door panel, bumper, etc. However, non-standard ultrasonic welding equipment can only produce a large complex parts when it is put into a large equipment at a time, which is not very common at present.
