What problems should be paid attention to in the welding process of ultrasonic welding machine?
Aug 23, 2022
【1】 After ultrasonic welding, the product is found with burrs or overflow
Solution:
1. Reduce the pressure and reduce the ultrasonic welding time (reduce the strength standard).
2. Reduce the number of power segments or small power machines.
3. Reduce the expansion ratio of ultrasonic mold.
4. Use the ultrasonic welder machine to fine tune, position and fix.
5. Modify the ultrasonic waveguide fuse.
Common problems of ultrasonic plastic welding machine
【2】 Improper material matching of plastic products
Solution:
The melting point of each plastic material is different. For example, the melting point of ABS plastic material is about 115 ℃, the melting point of nylon is about 175 ℃, and the melting point of PC is above 145 ℃
PE is about 85 ℃, for example: the melting point difference between ABS and PE is too large, and ultrasonic welding is bound to be difficult. There is also a gap between ABS and PC, but the gap is not so large as that in the previous paragraph, so it is still fusible
However, when the ultrasonic power is the same and the energy expansion is the same, the welding effect of different plastic materials can never be better than that of the same material.
【3】 Deformation and distortion are found after ultrasonic welding
Solution:
1. Reduce the pressure (preferably less than 2 kg).
2. Reduce ultrasonic welding time (reduce strength standard).
3. Increase the hardening time (at least 0.8 seconds).
4. Analyze whether the ultrasonic upper and lower molds can be adjusted locally (if not necessary).
5. The main causes of product deformation are analyzed and improved.
【4】 After ultrasonic welding, the product size was found to be unstable
1. Increase the welding safety factor (in order of welding time, pressure and power).
2. Enable the fine adjustment fixing screw (it shall be controlled to 0.02m/m).
3. Check whether the output energy of ultrasonic upper mode is sufficient (increase the number of segments if insufficient).
4. Check whether the fixture positioning and product bearing capacity are stable.
5. Modify the ultrasonic waveguide fuse.
