Commissioning Methods and Tips for Ultrasonic Wire Harness Terminal Welding Machines

I. Pre-operation Preparation

1) Upon delivery, unpack the machine and inspect all controllers, indicators, and surfaces for signs of damage or loose components.

2) Place the machine on a sturdy workbench. Ensure the rear of the machine is at least 0.2 meters away from heat sources and that there are no obstructions above the housing to allow for unobstructed exhaust.

3) Verify the voltage requirements on the nameplate located at the back of the control box and ensure the system is properly grounded.

4) Connect the machine to the power and air supplies, ensuring the power switch is turned to the "OFF" position before doing so.

5) Connect the air line to a clean, lubricant-free compressed air source with a gauge pressure of 0.7 MPa. Set the descent speed controller to a low position and the pressure regulator to 0.2 MPa.

II. Mold Setup Tips:

1) Loosen the machine frame locking handle and turn the lifting handwheel to adjust the machine body to the appropriate height (depending on the mold).

2) Clean the mold and the booster (horn), then install and tighten them securely.

3) Loosen the four mold balance adjustment screws.

4) Position the bottom mold and the workpiece to be welded.

5) Turn the lifting handwheel to bring the mold into contact with the workpiece; press the "Up" switch to raise the upper mold, then turn the handwheel to lower it an additional 1–2 mm before locking the handle.

6) Press the "Up" switch and cycle the descent 1–2 times to verify accurate alignment; then, secure the bottom mold and tighten the mold balance adjustment screws.

7) When securing the bottom mold and tightening the balance screws, keep the upper mold pressing down on the bottom mold to prevent positional shifting.

8) Once the bottom mold is secured, press the "Up" switch to separate the upper and lower molds. 9) If the upper and lower dies are not parallel, the worktable can be adjusted (note: the worktable is typically calibrated at the factory and should not be adjusted unless necessary). To adjust: first, loosen the four worktable locking screws; then, adjust the four knurled lifting nuts underneath until the upper and lower dies are parallel; finally, retighten the four locking screws.
