What are the components of the ultrasonic welding system?

The ultrasonic generator

Ultrasonic generator, also known as ultrasonic electronic box, is used to transmit high-power AC average signal to the mold and match the resonant frequency. A high voltage that generates the desired ultrasonic frequency from the connected supply voltage. All data related to the welding process are accurately measured and evaluated. The generator protects the vibration system from overload, keeps the amplitude (welding head movement) constant and compensates the vibration behavior of the respective welding head.

 

Ultrasonic Transducer

The transducer is the interface between the electrical and mechanical environment. It uses the converse piezoelectric effect to transform electrical vibration into mechanical longitudinal vibration and transmit it to the horn and welding head.

 

The Ultrasonic horn is often called ultrasonic ooster, which can expand or reduce the amplitude generated by the ultrasound transducer. Since the ultrasonic horn is installed at the zero node position, the horn can be fixed on the ultrasonic welding machine through the zero node position to avoid displacement of the vibration arm and transfer the welding force.

 

Welding die, also known as welding head

Welding die, also known as welding head, as a real active welding die, is used to place fixed rubber parts, transfer mechanical vibration to the welding parts, so that high-frequency vibration friction can be accurately transmitted to the welding surface of rubber parts. Depending on the geometry, the welding head can also amplify or reduce the amplitude. Generally speaking, they are customized according to the samples provided by customers. The ultrasonic transducer, ultrasonic horn and ultrasonic welding head make the vibration during welding resonate with the ultrasonic frequency.
